Another Tool for COVID Trends
The COVID-19 Direct tool sourced below tracks the trend of cases much like the tool above from the FL DOH. The difference though is that this tool tracks the progress of the spread of the disease along expected trends of infection and hospitalization, shows hospitals that will be affected and much more. The more tools that we have in our arsenal the better.
Stay Cautious and Vigilant
According to some of the world's leading health officials, COVID-19 can be found to stay on surfaces for up to 3 days. With symptoms being presented anywhere from 2-14 days of infection. It is important to be careful of whom you come into contact with as well as what you are coming into contact with. Access to public areas and commercial locales pose significant dangers when large volumes of people are in attendance or if surfaces such as gas pumps and shopping carts. In Broward and Miami-Dade counties especially, there are high numbers of elderly and immuno-compromised people who are vulnerable to being infected. If you, your loved ones, or any one you know presents the following symptoms, it is important you get tested:

If you are not sure of your symptoms or you fall into any of the normal symptoms or other criterion listed above, then please contact us.
- Fever (usually of 100.4°F or more)
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
Other criteria that you need to consider is the following (according to the CDC):
- If you or your loved one are 65 or older
- Do you have a compromised immune system? This may be due to hepatitis, HIV/other immune disorders, a history of chemotherapy, or long-term use of prednisone/other immunosuppressive medications.
- Do you have a chronic medical condition (asthma, COPD, cancer, heart or kidney disease, stroke, recent surgery or hospitalization or organ transplant)?
- Have you been exposed to anyone with a lab-confirmed positive case of COVID-19, or someone who is currently under investigation for COVID-19?
- Have you traveled to an affected geographic area with widespread community transmission, as defined by the CDC, within the last 14 days?
- Trouble breathing
- Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
- New confusion or inability to arouse
- Bluish lips or face
